At USD $1160, a lot of gold owners are looking at the paper price right now and panicking.
The conventional wisdom is that, because it takes fewer pieces of paper to buy an ounce, gold is a bad 'investment'.
This isn't the right idea. It shouldn't be viewed as an investment at all.
Gold isn't something that you buy with paper currency hoping to sell it later on down the road for even more paper currency.

OOTW: STERILIZATION, ECONOMIC (Social Science) The term sterilization is used in international economics and macroeconomics to describe the actions a central bank undertakes in order to neutralize the effects of central bank interventions in the foreign exchange market on the supply of domestic currency in the economy.
Sterilization usually takes the form of an open market operation, in which a central bank sells or purchases government bonds on an open market in the amount it purchases or sells foreign currency on the foreign exchange market, so that the amount of domestic currency in circulation remains unchanged.

Well if Sistani can almost at the snap of a finger find 100 volunteers that that Army could not.....
Did you see that Sistani is doing something with the GOI....I'm sure you did.....of course you did....the moment he did this on Friday and Saturday....woohoo.....rumors exploded all over Iraq within the citizens and even within the banks of Iraq...and count within the Kurds too....rumors were rampant over the weekend.

MP for the Bloc 'Abdul Karim al-Naqib said of the first government set up a sovereign fund reservation by all financial surpluses from previous budgets.

Let's take a moment to compare the world today to before the Global Financial Crisis struck roughly eight years ago.
In this short period of time, US federal government debt has DOUBLED.
The Federal Reserve now holds $2.4 trillion of that debt, up from $479 billion.
Interest rates, which were between 2-4%, are today just a hair above zero.
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, which is expected to guarantee bank accounts, now has liabilities 530% greater than the cash and cash equivalents they are holding, compared to just 14% before the crisis.
