On behalf of HMAA, HWMG Introduces
Provider Credentialing Process Using CAQH ProView

In order to comply with the State of Hawaii's Act 192 requiring health care provider network adequacy and accreditation, HWMG will begin transitioning providers to a credentialing process using  CAQH ProView in January 2016. This will ensure participating providers meet the credentialing criteria  for the HWMG medical or dental network, URAC health network  accreditation standards, and government regulations.
  • Participating Providers will be subject to the initial credentialing process sometime during our phase-in period of 2016 through 2019. We will notify you prior to initiating this process.
  • New Providers (such as those joining a participating contracted practice) will be subject to the initial credentialing process beginning February 1, 2016. Please allow ample time to complete the entire process prior to the provider's start date. The processing time can be up to 90 days to accommodate licensure verifications and clarification of discrepancies.
