Thank you to everyone who came out to the January potluck! It was a great evening filled with delicious food and great company. Larissa and Krystal of Ontario Streams provided valuable analyses of the data we have collected so far, and some benefits and drawbacks of citizen science were brought to light. Water Team member and CC intern, Meagan Coughlin, has taken the lead in writing a report on these findings.

Hope to see you all at the Lunch and Learn February 23rd (don't forget to RSVP by February 19th)!

What to Expect by 2050

Planning for Climate Change in Muskoka

If you only read one document on Climate Change, this is a great choice.  The report delves into what we can expect from climate change in our region by 2050:  the plausible impacts of climate change and thoughts on what we can do to be ready.

The report also has a succinct introduction to climate change and answers nagging questions like, "what's the difference between weather and climate?" and, "what's a greenhouse gas?"  Highly recommended.
