Early Dismissal
We will be dismissing students at 11:30 AM tomorrow, Friday, February 12so that teachers may attend an important In-service. School districts will run their pick-up earlier to accommodate our students.  There will be no supervision available in the building after 11:30 AM.  Any students remaining after dismissal will need to call a parent or guardian for pick-up.
No School Monday
School is closed Monday, February 15, in observance of Presidents' Day.
Reconciliation
The York Catholic community will have the opportunity to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation on February 17-18 from 9:30-11:30 AM.  Several priests from the York Deanery will be available to hear confessions.

This is a great chance to begin the Lenten season with a "clean slate" spiritually.  Pope Francis urged, "Everyone say to himself: 'When was the last time I went to confession?'  And if it has been a long time, don't lose another day!  Go, the priest will be good.  And Jesus, (will be) there, and Jesus is better than the priests--Jesus receives you. He will receive you with so much love! Be courageous, and go to confession."

Future Attorneys?
York Catholic students attended the Law Career Exploration Program, which was held at the York County Courthouse and included a presentation of a court case. York Catholic had the best representation from a single high school in all of York County in this program with 6 of the 12 students coming from YC.   Pictured from YC are Jessica Brett, Rebecca DeMonda, Erin McBrairty, Khalil McFarlane, Rafael Paul, and Brianna Henry.
Ski & Snowboard Club
The York Catholic Ski Club spends Sunday evenings on the slopes of Ski Roundtop throughout January and February. The bus leaves YC Sunday afternoons at 2:00 pm and returns at 9:00 pm.  Twenty-six students are regulars on the Sunday Shuttle, and they represent grades 7-12. Skiing and snowboarding are lifetime sports; the ski club offers students the opportunity to try something new and make new friends at the same time.  Seniors Sam Pawlikowski, Lauren Hand, and Mary Wurzback  pause for a quick photo at the top of the mountain.
