Air Service on the rise
Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) is one of the fastest growing airports in the country. Setting a new record for annual traffic with 11.9 million passengers, it's not surprising that Austin is the first North American city to fly British Airways' new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Scheduled to arrive daily at AUS, this service launched February 1, 2016.
In 2013 the Chamber worked with British Airways, ABIA, the Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau and the city to help establish the first direct flights to London. Initially operating with a Boeing 787, this was the first regular transatlantic flight and a groundbreaking partnership for the two cities.

Chamber holds Annual Meeting and first-ever State of Talent
February is off to a busy start for the Chamber. We hosted the 138th Annual Meeting and the 1st State of Talent. The Annual Meeting featured our Volunteers of the Year and Austinite of the Year Alan Graham. State of Talent was the Chamber's latest effort to convene community leaders to address Austin's workforce needs and challenges.
The 2016 Washington, D.C. Advocacy Trip will take place June 13 - 15. This is an opportunity to participate in our region's vital advocacy efforts on behalf of the Central Texas business community.
