Friends of the Park Aldermanic Award

I was honored to stand with some of my colleagues and receive the Aldermanic Award from Friends of the Parks on Thursday, February 4th.    Friends of the Park s  is a 40-year old non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve, protect, improve and promote the use of parks and open spaces throughout the Chicago area for the enjoyment of all residents and visitors.  The award recognized my commitment to keep the lakefront open, free and clear, including my vote against placing the Lucas Museum on the lakefront.
