Our delegation from Peru celebrated Mass with us, visited the classrooms, shared meals and stories, taught us to dance, brought us gifts and saw the sights of Seattle.  It was a special visit that helped remind us what our wonderful sister relationship brings to both of our communities.

Stewardship Update

We are making good progress toward our goal of $720,000, but we aren't there yet!  So far we have collected pledges of $688,242 and we have heard from 482 families.  If you haven't made your pledge, we'd love to hear from you.  Even if you can only offer your prayers, please go to our website, pick up a pledge card in the church or stop by the Parish office.
*Remember that school families must have a pledge card on file to register for the new year.
Asante sana for all of the donations to Crispin's Kitchen!  So far we have received donations and pledges amounting to $30,435.  Wow!  That's great!  This is a big project and we still need more donations to make it a reality.
It's not to late to donate.   We have added Crispin's Kitchen to the VANCO donation site.   Click here to make a one time donation or pledge.   See the flyer for even more ways to donate.
Jubilee of Mercy with the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy
The Holy Father has called us to celebrate and live the great Jubilee of Mercy during this year. To that end, Archbishop Sartain has invited two members of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy to the Archdiocese for a week in Lent. They are from St. Faustina's congregation, and their charism includes proclaiming the message of the infinite mercy of God.
The sisters will travel from parish to parish in the company of first-class relics of St. Faustina and St. John Paul II, carrying the good news of mercy to every corner of our Archdiocese.

The Archbishop's hope is that every parishioner will take advantage of this opportunity to grow in holiness and mercy.   See the flyer

The Creed is more than a proclamation.  It's a prayer.
When you recite the Creed, are you being real or are you being a robot? Do you know what you are saying? Is there a difference between believing there is a God and believing in God?  Watch this powerful 3 minute video and refresh your understanding of the Creed.
(Thanks to Joseph Tancioco.)

If you have prayer nuggets you'd like to share with the parish, email them to Bill Marty: bill@takenroad.com.  Thanks!
