COMPANY NEWS

Globe Machine Manufacturing personnel are gearing up for JEC World in Paris, France, March 8-10. We will once again have an exhibit space within the U.S. Pavilion; a block of booths organized by the U.S. Commercial Service to support small-to-medium size U.S. companies and State economic development departments eager to expand business opportunities with an international clientele. JEC, an acronym for Journées Européennes du Composite, is still the world's largest composites exposition after 20 years of operation. Located in Paris during early spring every year, the expo attracts manufacturers, converters, engineers, scientists, students and corporate decision makers, seeking knowledge and business opportunities in the field of advanced composites.

If you are fortunate enough to find yourself in Paris during this year's JEC, please visit us at booth P39c in the U.S. Pavilion. We are looking forward to catching up with and meeting new customers, partners and friends at this year's event. Bonne Journee!

As Globe Machine Manufacturing Company (established in 1917) starts gearing up for its 100th anniversary, its good to look back and see how far we've come. Originally focused on manufacturing mainly for the forest industry, we now serve a wide range of manufacturing sectors, from building products, to pulp & paper, and into the future with advanced composites. Enjoy these "blast from the past" pictures of our manufacturing plant.

DEPARTMENT SNAPSHOT

Our giant Shibaura CNC machine is representative of the abilities we have to machine components in today's plant.  If you're like many of us, you use the term (CNC) but have no idea what the acronym means.  The answer: "Computer Numerical Control." This means a computer converts the design produced by Computer Aided Design software (CAD), into numbers. The numbers can be considered to be the coordinates of a graph and they control the movement of the cutter.

CONTROLS ENGINEERING

Globe Machine's controls engineers, not only design and program control systems for industrial equipment, but also setup and test the equipment before it ships to your site.  When items such as robotics and large motors/drives arrive pre-programmed, they are integrated into the control system to provide smooth installations, commissioning, and training.
SERVICE PROGRAM
