Special Events
May 5 

Join Pheasants Forever for their annual Spring Banquet. This fundraiser includes games, auctions, raffles, and fun for all!  

Doors open at 5 pm for a social hour. Cost is $50 to attend, which includes dinner, membership into Pheasants Forever, and an automatic entry into a drawing to win one of 10 guns.
 
Arts & Entertainment
May 3

The Fischgaard Short Film Project mission is to motivate independent filmmakers and to enhance film as art in South Dakota. During the competition, filmmaking teams create a four to seven minute film all in one weekend. The films are adjudicated and awards are presented following the public viewing.
Kids & Family Activities

Join Sanford for the Type-1-Derful 5k Color Run/Walk, where all proceeds benefit Camp Gilbert, a summer camp for children with diabetes. Registration begins at 7:15 am with runners starting at 8 am and walkers at 8:15 am.

May 16

The "Run From The Police 5k" is a fundraising event for the Aberdeen Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge #4. They encourage people to dress up and have fun meeting the local law enforcement. 
Exhibits & Galleries
May 7-July 5

The public is invited to join us for an evening reception for the opening of "The Tree and the Acorn" Art Show at the Dacotah Prairie Museum. There will be a combined presentation of the art of Mary Gorder-Groth and Liz Groth-Heeren. This exhibit will be located in the Lamont Gallery from May 7 through July 5, 2015.
