| 2 FIREFIGHTERS KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY, JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA-TRAPPED IN BUILDING FIRE The Secret List www.FireFighterCloseCalls.com We regret to pass on to you that 2 Firefighters were killed in the Line of Duty early this morning after being found in the basement of a 7 story mixed use building. Initially, when EMS arrived to assist, they found 1 Firefighter having been removed, already being treated for smoke inhalation-but 2 other Firefighters were still trapped in the building. At approximately 0100 hours a Firefighter was brought out by other members. He had no signs of life and despite all their efforts they were unable to revive him. At approximately 0300 hours another Firefighter was brought from the building who was declared dead on the scene. Four other firefighters were treated on the scene for various injuries and transported to the hospital. Our condolences to all those affected. RIP. Take Care. Be Careful. Pass It On.
