You're Invited to the Last Legislative Listening Session
on November 9th

    I wanted to make you aware of the opportunity to share your thoughts and comments with our County Executive. The event is next Monday evening, November 9th  at the M-NCPPC Building at 6600 Kenilworth Avenue in RiverdaleThe listening session is preceded by an "Open House" where representatives of the County will be there to answer your questions on  County services.   The Open House is from 6-7.  You must pre-register is you wish to speak during the  listening session from 7-9.   You may pre-register on line HERE  or call 301-952-3625 to do so.  

     The City of Laurel is hoping to have a good turnout
on the 9th to protest the closing of the Laurel Regional Hospital to the County Executive.  They are hoping to highlight
the lack of notice to the residents and employees
by Dimensions Health System during this Listening Session.  The press release and details follow.

Dear Friends and Neighbors:

County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III, invites residents to attend an important public meeting on Monday, November, 9, 2015 at M-NCPPC Parks and Recreation Administration Building, 6600 Kenilworth Avenue, in Riverdale, MD at 7:00 p.m. The County Executive and other state and local leaders will be there to hear citizens present their issues and suggestions on community and legislative issues. The event will also include an "open house" featuring representatives from various County departments and agencies. Attendees will be able to talk with these representatives and gather information or ask questions about County services. The open house will take place from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

The November 9 th meeting is the last of two legislative listening sessions hosted by the County Executive and he encourages residents and groups to participate. To learn more about the listening sessions, please visit the county's website. Citizens who are interested in testifying need to pre-register online by completing the registration form or by calling 301-952-3625. There will be limited opportunities to sign-up to speak the night of the meeting, so pre-registration is encouraged. Comments will be timed and limited to three (3) minutes per person. If you wish to submit comments and are unable to attend in person, please email them to [email protected].
