MYNA Stands with Flint
MYNA National Executive Committee, Regional Executive chairs, Advisory Board (Majlis Youth Council [MYC]) and several ISNA staff met last weekend in Flint, Mich., for their annual MYC Retreat, an annual meeting for strategic planning. The youth leaders broke from their meeting to gain a better understanding of the water crisis in Flint by volunteering with local efforts and creating a national campaign calling for action. They attended a nearby water aid initiative at the newly acquired and Muslim renovated Broome Center, an employment one of the MYNA National Advisors is a part of.
