The principal will provide you with information on the district's early entrance policy, fees, and process. An early entrance request must be received in writing by May 13 th for evaluation to be scheduled. Note that only those children tested with exceptional intellectual and above average social skills are considered for early entrance. Early entrance admittance for qualified children is on a space available basis.

It's still FLU season!
Seasonal "flu" occurs between October and May and typically peaks in January and February.  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) predicts that this will be a particularly heavy flu season.  Recently, CDC issued a health advisory saying that the vaccine developed for 2014-2015 is less effective than usual; however, CDC encourages everyone, especially school personnel, to get vaccinated because children are among the most vulnerable to the disease.  The following tips are always good to keep in mind:

* Wash hands often with soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitizer
*
Avoid touching eyes, nose, or mouth
* Avoid close contact with those who are already sick
*Get plenty of sleep
*Eat healthy food and drink plenty of fluids
*Cover your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing with a  tissue or the crook of your arm
*Stay home if sick and for at least 24 hours after fever is gone.

For more information about seasonal flu please visit http://www.cdc.gov/flu/

Thank you for helping us to keep everyone at school healthy!
