All USD students engaged in undergraduate research/scholarship activities and creative works are required to register as a Research Scholar --regardless of funding source or formal program affiliation.
Research Scholars include:
Beckman Scholars
Changemaker Summer Research Fellow/ Community Based Research (CBR)
McNair Scholars
NSF REU Scholars
PURE Scholars
SURE Scholars
Students who have received a scholarship for summer research
Students who are conducting research on a faculty member's grant
Students who are dong an independent project with a faculty advisor/volunteering
Other visiting researchers (high school, international, etc.)
Responsibilities and Benefits
Responsible Conduct in Research (RCR) Online Training/Other research ethics training as needed
50% discount on on-campus housing during the summer (USD students only; see housing section below)
Participation in professional development workshops
Invitations to special networking events with other researchers

The CC URC showcases research, scholarly activities and creative works from undergraduate students in all disciplines. Please plan to attend and support USD's undergraduate research scholars. CC URC is open to the public, but please help us in our planning by letting us know if you will attend.
