Happy 2016! As you now know, the AME and RaDME programs are functioning within the Center for Faculty Educators (CFE). They continue to be supported by our outstanding staff, Karen Brent, Kathleen Land, Holly Nishimura and Victoria Ruddick. With the merge of these entities into one unit came additional new roles which we are excited to announce have been filled.
Valerie Brown, CFE Operations Analyst
Valerie will coordinate workshop and meeting logistics, calendaring for Helen Loeser and Pat O'Sullivan, and serve as the central point person for all things CFE. We welcome Valerie from the American Academy of Ophthalmology, where she served as the Administrative Coordinator for the past several years.
Ivan Mendez, CFE Outreach Analyst
Ivan will be the primary point of contact for volunteer clinical faculty interested in teaching opportunities. Additionally, he will manage teaching awards processes from several awards, not limited to, Kaiser Awards, Charlotte Baer Award and Essential Core Teaching Awards. As some of you may know, since 2011, Ivan has worked in the Office of Medical Education's Assessment, Curriculum and Evaluation unit as the course coordinator for the Foundations of Patient Care and Longitudinal Clinical Experience preceptorship programs.
Please join me in welcoming Valerie and Ivan to the Center for Faculty Educators.
