Mary: A Winning Woman
Luke 1:28-38
(Most of the exchange between angel Gabriel and Mary)

Gabriel: Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!
Mary: (Troubled and trying to discern what this greeting might be.)
Gabriel: Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.
Mary: How will this be, since I am a virgin?
Gabriel: The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy--the Son of God.
Mary: Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.
As much as the focus of Christmas is Jesus, as it should be, we want to focus here on Mary as a winning woman. It was not because she would become (or was) the mother of Jesus. Rather, it was because she accepted God's favor, grace and call to give her this role. She had a humble, obedient spirit that was ready to say yes in faith.

When Gabriel approached her about this life changing event she would play a key role in, she did not doubt or question God, but humbly asked how it would work with being a virgin. She knew her place before God and accepted what His will was for her life. "I am the servant of the Lord," she said. "Let it be to me according to your word."

Imagine the emotion she felt during and after this took place and look at how her faith and trust in her King showed through.

The Manly Minute:
Reconciling the male and female relationship
THE NOTHING BOX (Men's Brains vs. Women's Brains)

Behind the Humor:
1. Male and female brains are biologically different.
2. One is not superior to the other.
3. What males and females would each be more inclined toward does not mean the opposite gender can't be more inclined toward it as well.
4. The differences between every person are meant to compliment/help rather than harm/divide one another.
5. Appreciate how God's gifted you and how He's gifted others. We really do need each other to function in the beautiful way God created us to.

"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus."
