City Hall Renovation Is Underway

Work has begun on the remodel of Kirkland City Hall. The project involves exterior improvements including a new HVAC system and roof repairs. Interior improvements to the building include updated furnishings, carpet and paint. The north entrance to City Hall is temporarily closed, and customers will need to enter at the south entrance. Construction is expected to be completed by late October/early November 2016.

City Council, Houghton Community Council, and board and commission meetings will be temporarily held in the Peter Kirk Room, lower level of City Hall, at their regularly scheduled times (available on the City's Online Calendar).

The City of Kirkland is pleased to be enhancing its customer service by providing a Customer Service Concierge who will assist customers as they enter City Hall and by creating a dedicated Development Services counter area to better assist permit applicants. Also, the City Council Chambers will be updated as a multi-purpose room with multi-media upgrades. To view schematics of the Permit Center and Council Chambers, go to the City Hall Remodel webpage

For specific questions, contact Chris Dodd, Facilities Services Manager at 425-587-3931 or [email protected].
