It's Time To Get Involved and Help Protect the Children of Cape Cod and the Islands
Hit The Links in Support of Children's Cove
The cold weather might have you fooled, but spring really is just around the corner! With the warm weather comes green grass, long, sunny days and time to hit the links. The 13th Annual Children's Cove Golf Tournament will take place on Monday, June 2nd at The Ridge Club in Sandwich. Put together a foursome and play 18 holes of golf on one of the Cape's premier courses, enjoy a sit-down dinner and silent and live auctions in the clubhouse.

Interested in playing? Register your foursome and see sponsorship opportunities on our website!

Participate in Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April
Statistically speaking, you know someone who has been sexually abused. 1 in 4 boys and 1 in 6 girls will be sexually abused before their 18th birthdays. Even Cape Cod isn't safe from abusers - we see approximately 200 cases in a year. Making matters even worse, 75% of abused children never say a word about their abuse to anyone.

This April, we're participating in the national Sexual Assault Awareness Month, or SAAM. Look for teal initiatives popping up across Cape Cod and online - these local businesses, non-profits and people are reaching out and encouraging victims and concerned citizens to speak up and help root out this terrible problem. Are you interested in participating? Visit ChildrensCove.org
or our Facebook page to find out more about our initiatives.

Children's Cove Re-Accredited by the
National Children's Alliance
Thanks to the hard work of our staff and partner agencies, Children's Cove earned re-accreditation from the National Children's Alliance for a five (5) year term. This accreditation is reserved only for organizations that pass a rigorous inspection of 10 points of its program and multi-disciplinary team. Membership and accreditation in the National Children's Alliance grants Children's Cove access to a nationwide database on child sexual abuse cases, an invaluable tool in working with current cases and ensuring that perpetrators of abuse are brought to justice.

Children's Cove is the Cape and Islands Child Advocacy Center. We work in every town on Cape Cod and on Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket and are an integral part of ensuring that victims can recover and thrive in their lives, and to ensure that victims aren't re-vicitmized.
