The WASH Symposium is an annual student-run event designed to provide a platform for sharing and expanding knowledge in the field of water, sanitation, and hygiene in the context of development. The symposium brings together leaders and WASH practitioners in social enterprises, the private sector, NGOs, academia, and development agencies. The event includes many speakers and panel discussions on relevant topics. Registration is free, but space is limited, so sign up now to guarantee yourself a spot.

The CRES-Boulder County chapter hosts monthly meetings to engage and educate the community on topics ranging from climate change and the environment to clean energy technology and local supportive legislation. They hold these sessions on the University of Colorado - Boulder campus to serve the students and faculty of the community. The attached flyer details the upcoming presentation.  
Student Voices at CU: What Racial and Ethnic Inclusion Means for Our Campus

CU Engage, together with several partner groups, invites you to join a creative research presentation followed by facilitated small group conversations about racial and ethnic inclusion at CU Boulder.  We are hoping for good representation from faculty and staff so that we can respond collectively, with students, to the ideas raised in the discussion. 68th Annual Conference on World Affairs

The Conference on World Affairs is a conference on "everything conceivable" with speakers from all over the world. The participants for this years events have now been announced and include a World Bank economist, founders and directors of many international NGOs, climate experts, writers, performers, and experts on many important issues. All events are free and open to the public, and students have priority. 
Colorado International Development M&E Lunch Club

The recurring "Colorado International Development M&E Lunch Club" meetings will be held once a month with this being the inaugural lunch meet-up. This initial meeting will be in the form of a brown bag lunch to get to know one another and then at future meet ups, people are welcome to come and share about monitoring and evaluation frameworks, tools and insights. GHC's Global Water Challenge (Volunteers needed)

Students from Denver and Aurora Public Schools are learning about water and sanitation and already preparing for this year's Spring Water Challenge. Global Heath Connections is looking for volunteers who are able to go the schools and help the students prepare for their big competition day! Click here for more information. 
Climate Reality Project Internship

The Climate Reality Project (CRP) works to empower a global cultural movement demanding immediate action using cutting-edge advertising and communication. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply for an unpaid internship with CRP's Climate Reality Leadership Corps in one of several areas of interest including communications, grassroots organizing and development through its Climate Reality Leadership Corps.See flyer for more information and instruction on how to apply. 
Engineering for Developing Communities Summer Program

Mid-July to Mid-August
Mekelle, Ethiopia

Technion International will be hosting a summer program, " Engineering for Developing Communities."  The course is led by the Engineers Without Borders Technion Chapter, and will be taught this year in Mekelle, Ethiopia in cooperation with Mekelle University.
The course is open to any undergraduate or graduate students from any university in the world.  This unique program provides a hands-on, real life learning experience for those interested in making a difference in the way engineering is practiced globally regarding community development. Students are challenged to approach problems with innovative and critical thinking, and are provided with multi-disciplinary tools to address a wide range of engineering and development challenges in a sustainable and holistic way. White House Summer Policy Internship

The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy is currently accepting applications for its Summer Policy Internship Program. The Office of Science and Technology Policy advises the President on the effects of science and technology on domestic and international affairs. UNC Water Institute Call for Conference Papers

Conference Dates: October 10-14, 2016
Location: Chapel Hill, NC

The Water Institute at UNC is now accepting  abstracts and  side event proposals for  Water and Health: Where Science Meets Policy. Abstracts for both poster and verbal presentations may be submitted online through April 29.  Abstracts and proposals should relate to one of this year's conference themes:  System strengthening;  WaSH;  Reaching the unserved where they are;  WaSH disaster management: Mitigation, preparation, response and recovery;  Domestic WaSH in high-income countries.
