Sunday Service
February 6, 2016 10:00 AM
The Hebrew Bible book of Leviticus says "The stranger residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself." Has this law ever been truly followed? Is the challenge on a national level or on a personal one? What must you do to welcome the stranger?

Secret Pals
Secret Pals is a 4-week event matching one adult with one RE child.
The adults know who they are paired with, but the children don't.
Each week for four Sundays, the two partners exchange small gifts. There will be a mailbox (envelope) on a clothesline in the front patio, one for each child.
The adults may give hints so that when they meet for lunch on February 14th, the children may have guessed who the adult secret pals are.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time
by Mark Haddon
This story, told by a teenage boy with Asperger's syndrome, is "
a novel that is funny, poignant and fascinating in its portrayal of a person whose curse and blessing are a mind that perceives the world entirely literally."
It is a relatively short book with surprising moments of humor and tenderness. It has been adapted to an acclaimed
stage play currently on Broadway. All welcome at the book discussion. For questions, call Linda at 724-4089
