February Newsletter

What would February be without the "Souper Bowl?"
As millions of Americans will be shopping on February 6 for Super Bowl party treats, Fox Valley United Way volunteers will be at local stores accepting donations for the "Souper Bowl of Caring". This nationwide, annual youth-led event helps to restock food pantries at a time when supplies are running low.

Once again, we are fortunate to partner with local Jewel-Osco stores and Prisco's Family Market in Aurora to give shoppers a chance to donate food or dollars to support the Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry and the Kendall County food pantries. Last year, our volunteers
collected 3,200 pounds of food and $7,883.80.Each dollar is able to purchase up to $8 worth of food, making the total food donations worth $63,070.

Let's do even better this year! To find out how to get young people involved, or to learn more, click here.
