Courage, Confidence, and Character

Welcome to the 2nd issue of our Junior Girl Scout News just for Parents & Caregivers! As the temps. begin to cool and the leaves change colors, your Junior Girl Scout should have had a meeting or two. She may be wrapping up her Candy, Nuts and Magazine Program and/or gone on an outdoor or community partner outing.

Thank you for choosing Girl Scouts! We work hard to ensure girls are comfortable in their own skin, confident to use their voice and ready to break through barriers they may face to go toward their dreams. The Girl Scout program builds lifelong leadership skills and gives girls experiences only found with us!

There have been some super articles written about the GS program recently, including this great one in Fatherly. Girl Scouts of the USA's Chief Girl Expert Dr. Andrea Bastiani Archibald, a Ph.D in Developmental and Child Psychology from Columbia University gives a fantastic overview of our program and how to raise girls full of our favorite C's - Courage, Confidence, and Character!

We look forward to bringing you more news and happenings every month throughout the year. Stay connected with us through other e-communications and our social media.

And, we want to hear from you... What is your Girl Scout up to? Are you looking for something you can't find? We are here to help and definitely want to hear how we can enhance your experience! Your feedback is so valued - let us know!

There's still time for girls to use their Cookie Dough earned from the 2015 Cookie Program. If your Girl Scout hasn't used her "Dough" yet,  see how she can use her Dough before it expires on October 31, 2015!
