October Covers ...
Carey
Mulligan showed off her new cut on the October 2010 Vogue
cover ... which is strikingly similar to Michelle
Williams, in 2009.
So inspired by
this new cover was 90210 star, Jessica
Stroup, that she had to try it,
also! Here she is ... just spotted sportin' this
sassy shifty-textured pixie cut at the grand opening party for
French fashion designer Vanessa Bruno, in Los
Angeles.

I will be IN the
salon, seeing clients, all day on Nov 10 & 11
... and will return for full days on Nov 19 &
20.
With the Holidays season
approaching, I will be in the salon throughout the rest of the

Greetings!
November
is here, and the Holidays are nearly upon us. I know it has only
been a few weeks since my last eBulletin, but I've worked hard to
get on-track to publish a first-of-each-month edition ... so ...
here is my November issue.

Four Generations
Eva's
First Haircut . . .
 With little doubt, one of the most
unique and special benefits of being a hairstylist, is developing
life-long, close relationships with clients. None is more special
than with Alice, and her daughter, grand-daughter
... and now, her great-grand-daughter.
I met Alice in 1978,
when her daughter Kathy, was in high school. In
1981, Kathy was married, and a few years later gave birth to her
daughter, Nancy. When she was 2 years old, I was
very pleased to have Kathy bring her to me, for her first haircut
... and a family tradition started.
 In late 80's,
Kathy volunteered to be one of my models for the big Long Beach
Trade Show, where I was doing platform work for Logics. For a
number of years, the picture I took of that dramatic haircut &
color,was among those I proudly displayed on the walls of my salon,
in Mission Viejo.
Now, just over
twenty years later, I've had the remarkable honor of giving the
first haircut to Eva, Nancy's 3 year old
daughter. It was a family affair ... everyone came for the
appointment, and all posed for this wonderful picture above.
Hopefully, I'll be
still standing behind my chair, in 20 more years, for the next
generation. Won't that be especially amazing!

Great Results . . .
During the last couple of months,
the Brazilian Blowout service has been really
gaining popularity. Client after client has commented on
how completely thrilled they are, with the results.
Long-time clients,
Debi, who has a mid-length cut, and
Pat, with her very short hair, have both
experienced the wonderful results . . . their
comments:
"Hair is great!!! Wow just blow
dried this morning and wallah!!!" (Debi)
"Absolutely amazing ... My
husband LOVES it!" (Pat)
Here, also, is new client,
Oxsana, a professional ballroom dancer, with her
new short cut.
As you can see, this
new treatment is not just for long hair. Whether hair is course
and wavy, or finer, with a difficult direction, the Brazilian
Blowout really helps make mornings dramatically
easier.

Before
& Afters
Catri
was open for change ...
The striking young dancer, model, actress, came to me for an
adventure, and was ready to let me do whatever I thought best.
Well, when I have such a striking young lady to work with, it is
hard to go wrong.
At 5'11", he is the height of a model, but was a dance major,
at UCSB. This puts her into a rare category, as most dancers are
not as tall. In fact, she reminds me of the model/athlete,
Gabriella Reese ... who appeared on many magazine covers, and was
also a champion professional volleyball player.
The images I captured of Catri's last visit with me, are
among my finest, and I really look forward to spending more time
with her. more
