Cindy Crawford ... out of retirement?

Young Cindy CrawfordNow 45, she certainly has not lost her form! Considered one of the top models of the 90's, she appeared on over 400 magazine covers. She was discovered
detasseling corn, at 16, by a local photographer, who encouraged her to enter modelling.

Vogue-Mar2011Lady Gaga posed for the
Vogue March cover, with a very strong bob ... in a typically dramatic color. What an interestingly coincidental tie-in to my own spring "Geometric" collection, which I started developing in February.

Spring Geometrics
Are Stronger Shapes Returning?

Caroline Dramatic Asymetric BobSoft, texturized, a-line styles have dominated fashion for sometime now. As you would expect, some of my adventurous clients were ready to go another direction
... geometrics seem fresh and exciting again.  It has been a long time!

>Caroline . . . has never been satisfied with a "normal" hairstyle!  Here she shows her new asymmetric bob, with strengthened lines and full bangs, which had some inspiration generated by the new "Tron" movie.  I had to add a few unique twists to set it apart ... drop-outs and a purple accent of color (enlarge to see better).  I felt the great jacket and sun glasses set off the look wonderfully.

Diana & Vidal Tribute<Diana . . . has always been attracted to striking cuts which capture her special sense of style. The idea came for us to do a tribute to Vidal Sassoon, and his landmark "5 Point Cut" of 1964. This is especially significant to Diana, because she was a young lady at the time, and this design was considered truly revolutionary.  Of course, we had to make it current, so I added to splash of color.

>Midori Midori Classic Bob. . . was also thinking stronger lines with this classic bob.  Since her previous cut had a lot of texture, it will take some time yet, for it to grow into the final look ... but it is well on it's way.

What is important, is allowing the past to inspire us, but also to bring fresh elements into the design. In each of these styles, color is a key component, much more so than in the past.

Brazilian Blowout Logo 150Remarkable Treatment
Still Getting Rave Reviews!

The dramatic publicity generated over  formaldehyde in the Brazilian Blowout Treatment, has now been resolved.

The Oregon OSHA Dept, which started this entire controversy, with its flawed testing (in a single salon, which was misusing the product) ... has now re-tested, using better procedures, over a larger sample base.

They tested in seven (7) salons, across Oregon ... each of which were properly applying the treatment. They found formaldehyde levels to be 0.079 ppm (parts per million) ... well below the OSHA Action Level of 0.5 ppm.

However, to continue moving forward, the Brazilian Blowout Company, has redesigned their product to  release ZERO formaldehyde ... before, during or after the treatment.

Give yourself a treat ... find out what every one is so excited about! more
