Plein Air Workshop with Joe Terrone

Time: 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Price: $100/$90 members (series of three)

This three day workshop which will provide you with knowledge and technical advice for venturing outdoors and painting en plein air. The first class will be instructional and will cover topics like atmospheric perspective, linear perspective, theory of angles, defraction, refraction, reflections, color theory, as well as information for dealing with the different elements presented by painting outdoors (changing light, wind, snow, rain, bugs, people, animals, etc.). The second and third classes will occur at various outdoor downtown Dover locations. The instructor will assist students in setting up, blocking in and finishing their paintings. Watercolor Painting with Michael Robear
Date: Saturday, August 29
Time: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Price: $40/$35 members

Michael Robear, watercolor instructor at Delaware College of Art and Design, will discuss and demonstrate some of his techniques for painting buildings before guiding participants in the creation of their own watercolor.
