Worship with us this Sunday!
Christmas Eve at Parkway Thursday, December 24
4:30pm-Family Friendly Worship : Come at 4:15pm to take a turn at the piano playing a Christmas song! This service will be alive and spirited with many children present. The traditional nativity scripture will be shared as we mingle Christmas carols and easily accessible reflections on then and now. We will sing Silent Night by candlelight at the close of the service.

7:30pm-Candlelight  Communion Worship: Prelude music for flute and organ begins at 7:15pm! This is a quieter and more contemplative service than the earlier one. We hear the Christmas Gospel, sing traditional carols and reflect upon what all of this means for us today. The choir will sing. We will celebrate the sacrament of communion at our open table and sing Silent Night by candlelight.

Please bring donations of shoes on Christmas Eve for the Shoe Man www.shoemanwater.org . Collect shoes. Provide Clean Water. Change the World...shoes of all sizes and kinds welcome...The Shoe Man and friends  provide clean water in communities in developing countries. They have generated revenue to fund these water projects by collecting new and gently used shoes.  Shoe collection efforts improve our planet by keeping wearable, usable shoes out of local landfills and directing them to a secondary market for reuse both locally and globally.

Keep the Christmas celebration going with us on Sunday, December 27 at our One Family Worship Service at 10:00am. It's the 12 Days of Christmas-but we promise NOT to sing that song! Our scriptures will be Psalm 148 and Luke 2:41-52 with a reflection entitled The Magic of 12. This will be a good way to begin to reflect on the birth and childhood of Jesus in our One Family setting. We will celebrate the sacrament of communion by intinction at our open table.

Inspiration
May this special time of Christmas help us to view all life as sacred, and to walk the Way which lies deep within each of us, a way that is beautiful, joyful and familiar - the way of justice, peace and reverence for all that is. ~Unknown
