Friday, 2/12- Thursday 2/18.
No classes will be held on these dates.

Sick Children in Dance Classes
We of course, do not want children to miss their dance classes, but i
f your child is sick with a cold or flu, please keep them at home.
We do not want them spreading illness to their classmates or our staff.
If your child misses class due to illness, you can certainly schedule a make up class. Please contact Miss Carrie for available make up classes for your dancer.
Please help us make sure that every dancer has a happy and healthy dance experience!

Costume Payments due by 2/15
All families with costume balances due, should have received their billing statement with these charges in January. Please pay your bill promptly in order to have your costumes in time for picture days. We will begin sending costumes home after February vacation. Costumes will not be sent home if your bill is not paid. Please call or email Miss Carrie if you have any questions about your costume bill or need to make a special payment arrangement.

Tuition Payments
Monthly Tuition payments are due by the first of each month. Use your email address to log into the Customer Portal and pay your bill securely and conveniently online -
Not sure how the Portal works?
All customers are required to submit a credit/debit card or bank draft information at registration. If your account is not paid in full by the 15th of each month, this payment method will be charged for the balance due. If your payment is declined, a $10 late fee will be applied to your account. Payments made on past due accounts will be applied to the oldest invoice first.

Parent Observation Week 2/1- 2/6
During the first week of February, The Dance Corner will invite parents into the dance studio. The end of the year recital gives parents a chance to see the culmination of 9 months of dance classes. This mid-year observation week, will give parents a chance to observe the learning process and witness first hand the hard work that goes on in the classroom each week.
Due to space limitations, we can only allow one guest per student in each class.
Waiting area observation windows will be open as usual, so other guests may watch from outside the studio. Younger brothers and sisters sometimes have trouble sitting quietly and watching for a whole hour, and can be disruptive to the class, so we encourage parents not to bring them. Instructors may as parents to move to the lobby with younger siblings if they are distracting the class.
Seating will be on the floor and in some of the larger classes quite cramped, so observers may want to bring a pillow or pad to sit on. Please be prepared to
REMOVE YOUR SHOES before entering the dance studio. No street shoes are allowed in our studios. I encourage you all to take an hour to come and see your child's progress.
Observers are welcome into all classes except the Wednesday 9:30am and Saturday 9:00am and 9:30am Twinkle Twos classes. Our youngest students are very easily distracted and won't be able to have a productive class with observers in the room. The observation window will be available for viewing as always.

What day is my child performing?
Many of you have asked which day your children will be dancing in the recital. The scheduling is extremely difficult, and unfortunately it is impossible for every family to have all their children dance in the same performance and many children will perform in both shows. We do our best to create the most convenient schedule for all families and offer discounted tickets for families who have to attend both shows.
Most ages 9 and up Ballet, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, Tap & Jazz classes and the dance companies perform in both performances.

Recital Tights
Each student will receive a pair of tights with their costume for the recital (except boys). We guess-timated the tights sizes so it is possible that the tights included with your costume are the wrong size. When you receive your tights, please check the size chart on the back to determine if they will fit. If they are the wrong size, please bring the incorrectly sized tights to our dance shop in their original package and we will give you a new correctly sized pair of tights. Do not try tights on. Once they are out of the package we cannot exchange them.

Spotlight on Cyd Charisse
Cyd Charisse is the namesake of our Charisse Jazz Competition Team. She was a jazz dancer known for her incredible leg extension as well as her ability to move between ballet and character dance with ease. She was part of the Golden Age of Hollywood. Check out her performance from
