Design star Thom Filicia announced as Honorary Design Chair
FORT MYERS, FL - Twenty leading Interior Designers assembled at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Florida ® (RMHCSWFL) on October 6th for the Designer Kick-Off Luncheon to begin work on Project Design 2016 SWFL.  Kravet Inc. sponsored the event and media sponsor Home & Design magazine, committee members and vendors were on hand to give the designers a jump start on the creative process to revamp their designated spaces.  As a result of the project, the original bedrooms of the Ronald McDonald House, kitchen, dining room, common areas, restrooms, laundry room, and all of the original flooring will be completely remodeled just in time to celebrate RMHC of SWFL's 20th Anniversary - 20 spaces for 20 years!

During the luncheon, acclaimed designer and television star Thom Filicia was announced as honorary design chair  for the project.   Filicia said  "I'm honored to serve as an honorary design chair for Project Design 2016 SW FL in support of our wonderful partner, Kravet, whom without which much of this would not be possible, as well as the Ronald McDonald House, which strives to improve the lives of children throughout the Southwest Region of Florida and beyond."  Filicia will appear at an event to reveal the redesigned Ronald McDonald House in Fort Myers on March 3rd, 2016.
 
Along with Filicia, Design Chair Suzanne Costa of Suzanne Costa Interiors will lead the project that will help provide even more comforting accommodations to the 135+ families served by RMHCSWFL each year and improve the family-centered care they provide through their programs. Participating designers include Constance A. Trutwin Interiors, Dwayne Bergmann, Elliott Design & Interiors, Ficarra Design Associates, Interiors by Design West, J.A. Willy Gallery, Jeffrey Fisher Home, Jett & Company, Inc, Jett Thompson Antiques and Interiors, Kahn Design Group, KW Development & Design, KVS Interiors,  Mercedes Courland Interiors Inc.,  Pure Design of Naples, Roz Travis Interiors, Schlegel Design Group, Soho Kitchens & Design, Suzanne Costa Interiors, Vanessa DeLeon, Wright Interior Group, and Weglarz Design.  All will reunite, along with sponsors, vendors, RMHC supporters, clients and media at the Kravet Inc. Showroom in Naples for a Pre-Construction Party on November 12th.
