CAWA in Partnership with the National Auto Care Association

For several years, CAWA has partnered with the national Auto Care Association to coordinate efforts to promote and protect the auto care industry. From legislative and regulatory advocacy to program development activities to strengthen the respective associations' voices for the industry, the relationship has been very beneficial. To coordinate the two associations' efforts, the Executive Vice President of the Auto Care Association (Aaron Lowe) participates on CAWA's Public Affairs Committee and our President & CEO participates on their Government Affairs Committee. Watch for additional coordinated efforts in 2016. To read more about what the Auto Care Association is doing on behalf of our industry, visit www.autocare.org. Should you have any questions regarding this relationship, contact Rodney Pierini, President & CEO at 800.332.2292, ext. 1 or [email protected].

Learn More About Telematics and Its Impact on Your Business and the Auto Care Industry

One of the CAWA Leadership's goals is to educate the industry and others regarding the term telematics. Our national partner has commissioned articles (called Telematics Trends) on the subject and they can be found ( here). Recall, too, that CAWA has a video which defines telematics in its simplest form. See the www.cawa.org homepage to view the video. Furthermore, should you have any questions regarding telematics legislative proposals in the three states we represent, please contact our Director of Government Affairs, Jennifer Zins at [email protected] or 916.871.0603.

Domestic Aftermarket Smaller But Hotter

Domestic nameplate car and light truck aftermarket competition is getting hotter, despite the shrinking share and size of the domestic nameplate aftermarket in the U.S. With foreign nameplates generating virtually all light vehicle aftermarket product growth over the next five years, domestic car and light truck product share and volume will continue to diminish. Nevertheless, competition in the shrinking domestic market sector is intensifying at the installer, wholesale, retail and brand levels.     Source :Jim Lang

Do You Know Any of These Manufacturers?

CAWA has had these companies ( click here) on our prospect list for some time. As a member or supporter of CAWA, if you could encourage these companies to consider membership in the Association that would be helpful.

Simply send us (at [email protected]) the name and contact person who you know that represents the company and CAWA headquarters staff will take the recruitment process from there. Thank you, in advance, for your assistance.
