NEW YEAR.
NEW PRESIDENT.

Jeff Bosworth, CPPCA 2016 President and Chief Probation Officer of Sierra County is relatively new to CPPCA, so he provides his Presidents message and some of his background on cppca.org.

He studied at schools close to where he lived, and has an AA in Administration of Justice from Sierra College and a BA in Social Science from CSU Sacramento.

While at CSUS he also graduated from ROTC and learned how to be a tank commander. Sometimes thinking learning to drive big heavy objects through obstacles was good training for interacting with local boards!

How Culture Shift and Data Redefined Probation Success in Riverside County
A Catalyst for a Better California, Nadine Ono, January 2016

Before 2014, Riverside County's criminal justice system had underutilized its data analysis making it difficult to address the challenges facing the county.

Spend Prop. 47 Funds on Prevention, Not Punishment
The Sun, Vonya Quarles, January 2016

Access to the proper programs and treatment options can make a world of difference for someone struggling with mental health or substance abuse disorders.
