Uniform Return Policy
Due to the ever increasing cost of uniforms,
equipment, and referees, we have instituted a Uniform Return Policy that applies to all After School Sports participants.  We feel that this policy will help us maintain an affordable program for all the students in the Redwood City School District.

For more information, please click on
Team Formation Policy
Our Team Formation Policy  was created because of the difficulty in finding coaches for many of our sports teams.    Each team will have a maximum amount of players allowed to register in order to maximize the experience of the players and allow each player adequate time to compete with accordance to our playing time rules.

Football (22 players)
Volleyball (12 players)
Basketball (12 players)
4th/5th Soccer (16 players)
6th-8th Grade Soccer (18 players)

Any additional players wishing to register will be placed on a waitlist.  If the participant is added to a team, the parent/guardian will be contacted in order to process payment.  Players cannot participate until their registration is paid in full. If there are enough participants and we can secure a second coach, a second team will be created.

Please register your child as soon as possible to secure a spot and/or allow us to recruit more players and a head coach to form a second team.

 SPOKES Receives funding for 2015-2016
SPOKES, our 4th/5th Grade Bicycle Safety and Maintenance program, was awarded a Safe Routes to School Grant for the second consecutive year by San Mateo County.  Redwood City 2020 was instrumental in securing this grant as part of their larger Health & Wellness
initiatives.

SPOKES will host 6 week courses at 5 REACH program sites at the following schools:  Fair Oaks, Hawes, Hoover, John Gill, and Selby Lane.
The primary goal of the program is to teach students bicycle safety and basic bicycle maintenance & repair. All students who complete the course will earn a new helmet, new bicycle lock, and a basic bicycle repair tool kit. In addition, participants will become ambassadors of bicycle safety among their peers.
Local Businesses to Sponsor SPOKES Bicycles

Redwood City Parks, Recreation & Community Services Department would like to give special recognition to SIMS Metal, Redwood General Tire, and the Seaport Industrial Association for purchasing the bicycles to be given to those REACH students who complete the SPOKES program.

Redwood City School District students encounter a variety of challenges affecting their ability to cycle to school; issues ranging from economic hardship to gang activity. Many of the families that we serve in our REACH After School Program are also new to this area and even this country, with limited opportunities to learn about safety rules and norms. Recognizing the need for a program that could help tackle those issues, the SPOKES Bicycle Safety and Maintenance program was developed.

Unfortunately, the one element that we discovered when we started this program was that our students did not have bicycles at home to apply their newly acquired skills. As a result, we approached active members of the Redwood City business community to help provide bicycles for our students.  Thank you again to SIMS Metal, Redwood General Tire, and Seaport Industrial Association for recognizing the importance of this program and for making a difference in our Redwood City community.
Adelante School joins the PE+ Program
Adelante School is now the 10th school to welcome the PE+ program to their campus.  Redwood City PRCS will provide structured K-5th physical education classes and recess/lunch support throughout the 2015-2016 school year to the students at Adelante.  Thank you to the Sequoia Health Care District and the Redwood City School District for their support. We are looking forward to an serving Adelante and their students.
Hoover Celebrates the Upcoming School Year
What better way to welcome in the new
school year then with a 26 foot mobile climbing wall!  Hoover School rented our "Wall" for 2 days, giving 4-8th graders the opportunity to climb throughout the day. Thank you to Principal Rothengast, the wonderful teachers at Hoover, and their amazing students!
