Thanks to local charter boat captain Marc Genthner on the Just Do It Too and Josh Eldridge at Critter Cruise, the Aquarium has some great animals including a trigger fish, smooth dogfish, striped bass, sea robins, and more!  Our 1 in 10 million orange lobster, sea horses, and the tropical flying gurnard are also on display.  Things change all the time so no visit is the same!

The Museum has several new exhibits.  Recently, some young naturalists donated a crayfish they found wandering Nantucket.  We just installed a new barn owl box exhibit and our baby snapping turtle just emerged from its winter nap.  When you visit, the tortoise might be out roving the lawn during its daily walk.  The museum is also an excellent place for a shady picnic during the heat of the day - there is lots of seating surrounded by native plants.

Dr. Bob Kennedy, MMA Senior Research Fellow, visited Nantucket from June 30 to July 2 to start the annual census of the Barn Owl Boxes in the MMA Nest Box Program.
