The official e-newsletter of St. Andrew's Episcopal School Alumni
November 2015

Welcome to the monthly St. Andrew's Alumni Newsletter! In these newsletters you'll find all you need to stay up to date with St. Andrew's and the Alumni Association. Each issue will include news from the school, upcoming events, a spotlight on a shining alum, a marketplace to promote alumni businesses and a recap of past activities and news.

The goal of the monthly newsletters is to "de-clutter" your inbox. Rather than an a separate email for each event, piece of news or update - you'll find it all here, each month. For more detailed updates, make sure to check out the Alumni Page online and like us on Facebook.

The Alumni Office is committed to serving St. Andrew's Alumni with keeping you connected to the school and each other. We look forward to seeing you back on campus or at one of our many regional events throughout the year. Please don't hesitate to contact us with news, updates and to get involved: [email protected]

All the best,

Alumni Spotlight: Neha Shastry '09
After graduating from SAES in 2009, Neha Shastry pursued a Masters in International Relations at the University of St. Andrew's in Scotland. She worked at CNN International in London and several months later found herself on the editorial team at VICE News in New York. During her tenure at VICE, she has produced and reported dozens of stories in 3 countries, including Nepal after the earthquake in 2015. Her most recent piece is an investigation into how women are mistreated within India's mental health system. It addresses how the stigma of mental health issues, as well as inadequate funding, enables these problems to persist. Check out the video here.

from Justin Ross '02
Alumni, faculty, and former faculty, I would like to invite you all to the first annual "Wednesday Before Thanksgiving" Alumni party at my new bar, The Big Stick.
