State Department Visit to Cordoba

October 1, 2015: During the United Nations General Assembly, the US Department of State Bureau of Public Affairs organized a tour with foreign journalists from Africa, Pakistan, India, Malaysia, and Jordan, among others. The tour was themed "Countering Violent Extremism." While in New York, the group interviewed Imam Feisal.

October 2 - 4, 2015: Imam Feisal participated in a three-day interfaith event at First Community Church in Columbus, OH. He lectured on Islam, gave a workshop on Sufism, and delivered a sermon.

Conference on Islamophobia and Religious Freedom at Temple University

October 6 - 8, 2015: Imam Feisal took part in a three-day conference on Islamophobia and religious freedom. The International Center for Religion and Diplomacy (ICRD), Peace Catalyst International (PCI), and the Dialogue Institute (DI) convened this conference to help Evangelicals and others understand the consequences of and develop thoughtful responses to Islamophobia in the United States. Imam Feisal spoke on the American Muslim community: citizenship, Islamic values, and Shariah Law.

Imam Feisal was quoted in an article in The Guardian about the consequences of Islamophobia in post-9/11 United States. He asserted that most Americans do not view Muslims as a threat, and that working on interfaith issues for many years has been a positive experience, saying:
