SHREVEPORT, LA, april 20, 2015  - Violinist Vadim Gluzman returns to Shreveport to play the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto on Saturday, May 2, 7:30 PM at the RiverView Theater. The SSO will close its season with an all-Russian program, including Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 2.

ABOUT VADIM GLUZMAN
Vadim Gluzman's extraordinary artistry brings back to life the glorious violinistic tradition of the 19th and 20th centuries. His wide repertoire embraces contemporary music and his performances are heard around the world through live broadcasts and a striking catalogue of award-winning recordings exclusively for the BIS label. The Israeli violinist appears regularly with major orchestras such as the Chicago Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, London Philharmonic, Israel Philharmonic, London Symphony, San Francisco Symphony, and Minnesota Orchestra; and with leading conductors including Neeme J?rvi, Michael Tilson Thomas, Andrew Litton, Itzhak Perlman, Paavo J?rvi, Rafael Fr?hbeck de Burgos, and Peter Oundjian. The 2014-15 Season marks Gluzman's first appearances with the Berlin Philharmonic and Cleveland Orchestra, performing Prokofiev's 2nd Violin Concerto under Tugan Sokhiev, as well as with the Orchestre National de France, Netherlands Philharmonic and Orchestre National de Belgique. He will perform with the Dresden and Seoul Philharmonic Orchestras, the Bournemouth Symphony, Orquesta Sinf?nica de Miner?a in Mexico City, and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra at the Edinburgh Festival, among others, and appear in recital in Paris, Geneva, St. Petersburg and Hamburg.  www.vadimgluzman.com
