SHREVEPORT SYMPHONY'S MARCH 28 BROADWAY NIGHTS CONCERT 
FEATURES CRAIG SCHULMAN IN "HEROES, MONSTERS & MADMEN"

 
SHREVEPORT, LA, MARCH 17, 2015  - The Shreveport Symphony Orchestra's Broadway Nights: Heroes, Monsters & Madmen concert with Craig Schulman will be held on Saturday, March 28 at 7:30 PM at the RiverView Theater in Shreveport.

Broadway star tenor CRAIG SCHULMAN will perform 'Hero' songs from Les Miserables and Camelot; 'Monsters' from The Phantom Of The Opera and Beauty and the Beast; 'Madmen' from Little Shop of Horrors, The Secret Garden and more.

ABOUT CRAIG SCHULMAN
 

Craig Schulman is the only performer in the world to have performed three of the most extraordinary musical theatre characters ever written. He has appeared in the title roles of Jekyll & Hyde, Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom Of The Opera, and nearly 2,000 performances of Jean Valjean in Les Mis�rables, on Broadway and around the world. He was chosen to represent the U.S. at the Les Mis�rables Tenth Anniversary Concert at Royal Albert Hall in October, 1995, which can often be seen on the PBS broadcast of the event. He has played Che in Evita; Tevye in Fiddler On The Roof and Archibald Craven in The Secret Garden at N.C.T. He has sung on The Rosie O'Donnell Show, NBC Weekend Today and Guiding Light, and was heard as the voices of "Placido Domingo" and "Luciano Pavarotti" on MTV's Claymation Celebrity Death Match.
 

Mr. Schulman moves freely between the worlds of Broadway, opera and symphonic pops programs. He has sung Don Jose in Carmen at Opera Carolina, Opera Memphis, and in Colorado; debuted as Judge Danforth in The Crucible at Tulsa Opera; and sang Eisenstein in Strauss' Die Fledermaus with Opera Memphis. He also sang with Sherrill Milnes and Mignon Dunn at Opera Memphis' 40th Anniversary Gala Concert.

The Shreveport Symphony Orchestra will host its Annual Rhapsody Gala - an evening of mystique, romance, tantalizing food and drink, fun and unforgettable moments - on Saturday, April 18, 7:30 PM, at El Dorado Casino. This year's theme Scheherazade will provide an exotic background for an event filled with guest performers, an auction and musical entertainment. Individual gala tickets are $125/person if reserved by March 30; $150/person after March 30.  Full tables and half tables are available.
