NEWS YOU CAN USE       April 2015

The Foundation Gala Dinner with the theme, "Three Coins in a Foundation, took place Sat March 28 in Rome, Italy.

Once again the conference delegates and guests reached deep into their pockets for the silent auction, live auction and raffle prizes.

Foundation President Michele Hendrikse Du Bois, welcomed our guests and began the evening with the live auction for the original painting of Backing Women by Christian de Laubadère.

Later in the evening was the drawing for the much sought after emerald  bracelet. The winner was Wendy Warren, AWC Brussels.

Best costume was won by Kristin Dubbel Haanaes

The live auction was met with enthusiastic bids. FAWCO Club members were truly generous this year providing many wonderful get-away locations to bid on. Christian de Laubadère also donated the Backing Women painting on linen for the silent auction. After lively bidding this went to live auction status between 3 bidders. The money from the painting and the linen painting go to the Target Project.

Silent Auction-        $13,000
Live Auction-           $24,050
Online Auction-      $12,375
Quilt Raffle-              $3,000+
Bracelet Raffle-over $2,300
Lucky Dip-                   $598
Coins/Fountain-         $640

The FAWCO Foundation board is very grateful to all the volunteers, donors and participants who contributed to the success of the Three Coins in The Fountain Fun-Raiser. Your generosity will allow us to continue making a significant impact on the many worthy programs supported by The FAWCO Foundation, FAUSA and FAWCO member clubs.

Thank you everyone and we hope to see many of you in  2016.
