Science showcase
set Tuesday, Nov. 10

Students are welcome to join the CJHS science teachers after school on Tuesday, Nov. 10 from 3:15 to 4:15 in the STEM Lab. 

Students will divide into four groups and rotate through four different life and physical science activities. It will be a a great experience!

Pre-trip Beta
meeting Nov. 18

Attention Junior Beta members:  If you are registered to attend this year's Junior Beta Convention, there will be a mandatory pre-trip meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 18 from 3:00 to 3:30.  Make sure you have someone to pick you up at 3:30.

Swimming, wrestling

Football gets the most attention in the fall and for winter sports, it's basketball. But there are other CJHS sports to support. Below are schedules for the CJHS swimming and wrestling teams. If you haven't had a chance to see these Trojans in action, mark your calendars now to cheer them on, too!

Lucky Tray Day!

The cafeteria will be having a Lucky Tray Day several times during the up and coming weeks. The lucky tray winner will have a sticker on the bottom. Look for a Freddie Falcon sticker on bottom of tray....So, when you're finish with lunch look to see if you won! 


Chalking up the sidewalk

An annual tradition at Carrollton Junior High School during every Red Ribbon Week observance is for students to use sidewalk chalk to decorate the walkways leading to the front entrance of the school. These anti-drug messages are core to the principles of what Red Ribbon Week is about - promoting  drug prevention and youth advocacy.
CJHS Book fair Nov. 6-13
Carrollton Junior High School is hosting a Scholastic Book Fair beginning Friday, Nov. 6, through Friday, Nov. 13. Book fair hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through Nov. 12 and 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13. In addition, Parent Night will be held Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. The fair will be held in the media center.

If you can't come to the book fair you also may shop online Nov. 1-14. Once the online fair closes, the books will be shipped free to CJHS for pickup.

Donate old Trojan items
to store to benefit others

The Trojan Nation Store, in conjunction with the CHS NIKE Club, encourages Trojans of all ages to join the TROJAN OLD TO TROJAN GOLD donation drive. Your donated items will be sold in the Trojan Nation Store. All proceeds will go directly toward the purchase of brand new Trojan spirit wear for needy Trojan students.

Donations can be dropped off during school hours to the front, attendance or vocational offices at CHS. Donations made by Nov. 20, 2015, will enter you in a drawing to win a $100 gift certificate to the Trojan Store! Anything TROJAN is acceptable for donation! This includes both clothing AND memorabilia.

Trojan store hosts 
Open House Nov. 10
The Trojan Nation Store Christmas Open House will be held Tuesday, Nov. 10, from noon to 7 p.m. There are a lot of new items for sale in addition to classic spirit wear and accessories. 

The store also will offer extended hours from noon to 7 p.m. on two other Tuesdays: Dec. 8 and Dec. 15.

Community blood
drive to be held Nov. 10
Attention CJHS parents: A community Red Cross blood drive, sponsored by Carrollton High School's HOSA Club, will be held Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 3 to 8 p.m. in the CHS cafeteria.

Walk-ins are welcome, but donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment by visiting redcrossblood.org and entering the sponsor code, "Trojans."

Since the blood drive is after school, participants can go directly to the CHS cafeteria. HOSA students also will be stationed to direct volunteers where to go.

Donors must have a photo ID to present. All donors will receive a T-shirt!

CJHS bowlers place
in Newnan tourney

Congratulations to the following students on their success in the 2015 Special Olympics Bowling Tournament that was held in Newnan Oct. 30: Kayla Hendrix, Rene Alberto-Romero, Rosa Sontay-Lyons, first place; Ansley New, second place; Kamron Parham, Kamel Thornton, third place; Gracie Easterwood, fourth place; and Cam Carter, sixth place. Way to go!
