Tot Shabbat is Back!

These brief services geared for preschool aged children are led by Rabbi Dana Magat and Cantor Meeka Simerly and include blessings, songs, stories, and prayers in the sanctuary. Thanks to the generosity of our Sisterhood group,  a delicious, complimentary dinner is served after the service.

Silicon Valley Jewish Film Festival with Brotherhood
Sunday, October 18 at 5:00 PM
Brotherhood Night at the Silicon Valley Jewish Film Festival will view the movie "Dough" at the AMC Saratoga 14 theater (700 El Paseo De Saratoga, San Jose 95130). We have arranged a group purchase of tickets and reserved seating in the theatre for $10/person.  After the movie, we'll go as a group for a no-host dinner to Capers.

Tea and Torah

The Tea and Torah program includes study of the week's Torah portion over tea and noshes.  Utilized are commentaries reflecting a variety of perspectives, including URJ's Torah: A Women's Commentary.  Open and welcome to all who would like to learn about the history, thought process, and fast evolving freedom of expression, from a contemporary Reform Judaism approach.

If you are looking for a way to give back to the community, and help a member of our congregation, consider donating to one of our B'nai Mitzvah student's Mitzvah Project.  Sophie Jackman is collecting books for Elmwood Correctional Center for Women.   Please bring paperback books, free of staples, to the Temple for donation.

If you would like to donate your copy, or copies, of Gates of Repentance, please bring them to the Temple Administration Office.  Rabbi Magat and the staff will make sure the books are donated to the appropriate places.
