USF Student Post Update

Society of American Military Engineers, University of South Florida Chapter,
State of Operations  -
Kyle Graveson, President

Since its inception as a student organization at the University of South Florida in January 2015, the student chapter of SAME has conducted 5 events involving more than 25 professionals and over 130 students. The events have consisted of information sessions, where professionals and students engage in a form of panel discussion about what it means to be a practicing engineer, resume critiques, interview training, and social mixers. The strength of the student chapter lies within the connection it has with the professionals of the Tampa Bay post. There aren't many other student organizations that can bring a group of such high caliber individuals with tons of real world experience directly to students like we can. Realizing this, most of the planning that went into the spring semester events was focused on connecting students with those professionals.   Read More
