Access the Power of Prayer at Grace!

Are you missing the fellowship of conference call prayer?  Then join us every Thursday at 6am, on Teleconference Line: 605-475-3220, Access Code: 269 901#, where we can experience the power of unity in Christ as we gather together on one accord in prayer. It says in Matthew 18:20 NKJV, "For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."  Be a part of this open prayer line and join us in prayer as we seek to be all that God would have us to be.   You will truly be blessed!

Meditation Moment

What Do You See?

Scriptural reference:  Ephesians 1:18-19   NIV

"I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,  and his incomparably great power for us who believe."

There are times when what we see convinces us that there is no hope.  However, our relationship with God does not call us to walk by what we see but by our faith in Him.  Don't depend on your eyes if you want to be who God has called you to be.  Trust in and depend on God's Word to you.   You are the embodiment of God's possibilities, fearfully and wonderfully made, and the end result of God's best dreams.  Learn to live beyond the limits of your sight.   Focus on who God is and allow Him to give you new vision.

Words From Our Pastor
My Loved Ones,

Our August Thursdays Bible Study Series, "Too Busy Not To Pray", at the Glen Island Harbor Club in New Rochelle, NY was such a powerful and inspirational experience shared by all who participated.  I want to say a special thank you to those who attended and those who helped with the set up each week and worked to make the environment fit for worship and study.  We hope that the series has provided all those who were present with an opportunity to grow in faith and improve their prayer life.
Furthermore, we are on the brink of the YAMFAM's 5K Race for Education.  I want to encourage each of you to register and participate (watch, walk or run) in this event.  Our slogan is, "It takes a village...Race a Mile, Educate a Child."  The race will benefit children and families of Mount Vernon and surrounding communities.  As I stated last week, the purpose of the 5K is to fund and support all of the educational programs of the Village of Grace, such as the Grace After-School Program (GASP), Grace Tutoring Program, PSAT Prep and SAT Prep.  Additionally, we seek to provide cultural, educational and enrichment opportunities to the children and youth we serve.  Your support is vital to our success.  We hope that you join with us and become a force for change!
L ove,
Pastor

Have a blessed weekend!

Sincerely,
Grace Baptist Church
