Meditation Moment

An Open Door

Scriptural reference: Revelations  3:8   NIV

"
I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. "

God's blessings can come in unlikely places. If you will walk by faith, God has the power to sustain you. Don't be afraid of change or the gifts that God has given you.  Instead, embrace the opportunities that God has given you to serve Him.  Christ sees the harvest but the laborers are few.  Step out of the crowd, use your gifts and be a vessel to bring about change for the advancement of His kingdom. Trust God and be obedient to His Word and what He has called you to do. God has an open door prepared just for you and wherever God guides, He will provide.

Words From Our Pastor
My Loved Ones,

Welcome back from what I hope was a great summer as you relaxed and enjoyed the activities of the season.  The church experienced a marvelous summer season as we celebrated our forty-year journey as pastor and people; got LIT with the YAMFAM; and enjoyed the worship and fellowship at our annual Family Day in the Park.  God is always blessing us and we, as His people, are eternally grateful for His amazing grace!

As we begin the new program year, I pray that you are filled with a new energy and a renewed zeal for the work ahead in our ministry.  Your commitment and participation is vital to the realization of our goals as we work to expand our reach and improve the lives of those we serve.

I am asking all of you who can to come out this Saturday, September 12, at 8am, to support the Village of Grace 5K Race for Education.  This important annual event provides funding for Grace's educational programs which serve our children and youth.  You may participate in the event as a runner, walker, observer, volunteer or benefactor.  Your support is critical to our efforts to provide our young people with the prerequisite academic tools for future scholastic and professional success.  We hope to see you all there!

Lastly, I implore you to embrace the challenge of supporting the church through your tithes and offerings.  I am inspired by your witness and grateful for all that you do to sustain our ministry.  God is calling us to be a great witness and force for change in this community, nation and the world.

L ove,
Pastor

Have a blessed weekend!

Sincerely,
Grace Baptist Church
