| 20 Years of Making a Difference |
The Foundation for MetroWest was established in 1995 with a simple philosophy: You can make a world of difference in your own backyard. It's about making lives better. It's about making giving easier. It's about MetroWest. As we close out our 20th anniversary year, we are proud to announce that we have granted $11.6 million since our inception, throughout MetroWest and beyond- including $1.6 million this year alone!
As we reflect upon the impact we have made, it is with the understanding that our work isn't possible without your generous support. It is your support that inspires and challenges us to grow, expand and make a greater impact. Thank you for being part of our success. | Foundation Awards More Than $250,000 |
The Foundation for MetroWest recently awarded grants totaling more than $250,000 to 36 nonprofits serving MetroWest enabling us to reach a new grantmaking milestone- $1.6 million! Recipients will use the funding to strengthen the MetroWest region by supporting a variety of activities including job creation and workforce development, low-cost mediation assistance, support and resources for the elderly and victims of domestic abuse, language and literacy programs, orchestra and theater performances, and environment preservation training. Our 2016 grant schedule and applications will be available soon.

| MA Youth Philanthropy Summit a Success! |
Among the many things discussed during the Summit were the different ways students came to realize the need in their own communities. One Youth in Philanthropy student remarked, "I always understood that need existed in places like Boston, but until going through the Youth in Philanthropy program never realized that need existed in my own backyard as well. YIP changed my entire perspective."
We are proud to have been educating future philanthropists since 1997, and through working with these students have granted nearly $1 million to youth development nonprofits.

| Partnering with Bank of America to End Hunger in MetroWest |
Since 2008, Bank of America has been working to provide hunger relief in communities nationwide. At this time, we are proud to announce that Bank of America has chosen to partner with the Foundation to address hunger head on in the communities where we live and work- here at home in MetroWest. "Food insecurity continues to be one of our communities greatest challenges," says Executive Director, Judith Salerno. "We are grateful to Bank of America for partnering with us on this important local issue."
As part of this partnership, Bank of America recently granted $10,000 to our MetroWest Hunger Relief Fund and a team of Bank of America volunteers joined us for a morning of volunteering at HOPE Worldwide Food Pantry in Framingham. We are honored to have their support and hope that others will join us as we work towards a MetroWest where no one struggles to meet their most basic needs.

Center for Philanthropy Education. These services and resources help build the capacity, visibility, connections, and expertise that our local nonprofits need to deliver their missions, and, in turn, strengthen the MetroWest region. MetroWest nonprofit staff, volunteers, board and committee members are welcome to attend.
