A Pilgrimage
to  Taiz

May 21 - June 2, 2015
(includes Chartres and Paris)

This trip is primarily created for those aged 17-29, though everyone is welcome. As you may know, the Taiz community in France has become a gathering place for young adults from all over the world. In this setting, young Christians have an opportunity to meet the world Church, to develop life-long spiritual practices, and to reflect on their call to follow Christ. If you or someone you know has questions about the trip or would like to hear from a past participant, don't hesitate to email  [email protected] .

Friends,

The Rev. Alan G. Newton, Executive Minister

In recent weeks I have been spending considerable time reading and thinking about leadership.  What I have discovered is that a lot of what we consider to be leadership in the church is in all actuality management. What is the difference?  Management functions have to do with planning, budgeting, organizing, staffing, controlling and problem solving.  Leadership

on the other hand involves activities such as: establishing direction, aligning people around that direction, motivating and inspiring.
