PD Day No School

Mrs. Diana Kalef came in November to Akiva to speak to the Junior High Students about the importance of Tzedakah and the role that UJA plays in our community and around the world. She gave each student a Pushka and challenged them to raise as much as they can before winter break. The students began collecting and the campaign really heated up on Chanukah.

As he does every year, Rabbi Miller came in to give Chanukah Gelt to the students at Akiva Academy. The Junior High students went around at lunch with the UJA pushkas and many of the students gave their loonies to Tzedaka! We are proud of our students for taking the initiative to be involved in Tzedaka and especially for UJA which is responsible for supporting many students at Akiva.
