   Sumatra Classic Mandheling

We have an old favorite on sale this week. Sumatra Mandheling is an  old-school coffee with that classic big, heavy bodied mouth feel, with flavors of earth and tobacco.
The Full City+ roast profile accentuates those attributes while also allowing a muted brightness to reveal itself as the cup cools.  This coffee is a real crowd pleaser!

Happy Thursday!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the East Meets West festival last Saturday.  The weather was beautiful; there was a lot of good food to eat, music to listen to and beautiful ethnic dances all around us.  The warm weather encouraged many people to buy our iced coffee and iced tea.  However, there are still a few die-hards out there who want their coffee hot no matter what the weather is.

Luckily, we will have hot and cold beverages at both farmers market locations this weekend.  Many people ask us how we make our iced coffee.  No, we do not use the cold brew method.  In fact, we brew our coffee hot and stick it in the refrigerator over night.  Same thing holds true for our iced tea.  If you are interested in making iced coffee at home, read Jim's blog post about the method we use.

Brainstorming about incentives, video taping the muddy dog and our roastery, dinner table discussions about how and when to start only means one thing.  We are preparing for our Kickstarter, which will launch in June.  It is so much fun working together as a family figuring our how we can expand our family business.  Stay tuned to future newsletters, Twitter and Facebook to find out how you can help our small, family-owned business expand.

Have a great weekend,

Jim and Debbie
