*** DEBRA LEONARD MEDICAL FUND *** Deb started the Nampa Brewers Center in 1996. She started the store with the hopes of expanding homebrewing in the Treasure Valley. She was definitely ahead of her time, but her efforts led to a strong and vibrant homebrewing community. Other homebrew stores have come and gone, but Deb has kept her store in operation for 19 years. She is one of the first few members of the Snake River Brewers homebrew club and many (most?) homebrewers in the Treasure Valley have visted her store for supplies and advice. She grew the store to include equipment, supplies, and expertise in wine, cheese, and soda pop making.
Deb was recently diagnosed with leukemia and as a result of her treatment schedule, was forced to close the store. Since this was her main source of income, this fund raiser is to help Deb offset some of her medical bills.
Donations may also be made directly at Homebrewstuff, 9165 W Chinden Blvd #103 in Garden City. There will be additional fundraising on Big Brew day, May 2, at Homebrewstuff. Local homebrewers can donate equipment and supplies to a raffle for smaller items and an auction for larger items, with proceeds going to Deb. Many of the commercial breweries in the area will have booths at Big Brew and are donating a portion of their sales to Deb.

REClaim Table Rock - Sector Seventeen Mural Painting

Boise, ID - April 14, 2015 - The Rotary Club of Boise East and the Idaho Historical Society have joined together to reclaim Table Rock for the citizens and visitors of Boise and the Treasure Valley.
Table Rock is used by countless hikers, bikers and outdoor enthusiasts, but has been plagued with vandalism and graffiti on the cement bench and buildings on the top of Table Rock for many years.
We invite the media and public to join us at Table Rock Saturday, April 18th at 2:00 as we start the first stage of this reclamation project where Sector Seventeen will commence painting murals on the four buildings on the top of Table Rock.
Sector Seventeen has partnered with the Rotary Club of Boise East to paint, maintain, and update the murals on the buildings. The murals will become an attraction for residents and visitors alike and become a deterrent against future tagging and graffiti.
To complete the transformation the Rotary Club of Boise East is raising money to remove the current cement bench and replace it with seven graffiti resistant benches and four interpretive signs. We are raising money through community and corporate donations.
