Engaging Pittsburgh: It's All About the People! is a fresh take on building a reciprocal relationship between employers and employees. Participation in the Engaging Pittsburgh campaign will support organizations to experience greater engagement from its workforce, greater retention figures and ultimately an improved customer experience, resulting in improved business performance. Employees will experience a more engaging work life, spilling over to a more enjoyable personal life.

The award portion of the program is alive and well - with a twist. The award categories have been created to inspire and drive creativity of the organizations that are considering to submit a nomination. First, second and third place awards will be announced and the organizations will be celebrated at the Awards Event at the Sheraton at Station Square on Wednesday April 20, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. 

Award Categories:

Make Them Fearless: Programs or initiatives that encourage risk-taking 

Help Them Thrive: Supporting employees for personal and professional well-being 

Make It Cool: Workplace experiences that embrace fun, cool ideas that excite 

Be Boldly Transparent: Initiatives of leadership for transparency across employee population 

Don't Kill the Meaning: Strategy or programming tied to the purpose of the organization 

Magnify Their Success: Programs or initiatives focused on recognition or visibility of great work 

Unite Them: Programs or initiatives focused on teamwork and collaboration 

Let Them Lead: Initiatives tied to leadership development or encouragement of employees to lead within their daily work experience 

Take It To Extremes: Initiatives that push employees to achieve ridiculous results

 

Past nominees represent some of the most creative and successful people initiatives in the region. "Whether they are attracting talent, training tomorrow's leaders or rethinking the way they organize work. The People Do Matter nominees have all demonstrated that investing in people is a key component of business success," said Elizabeth Lamping, Executive Director, Pittsburgh Human Resources Association.
