1. Don't leave your pet outside during the trick-or-treat hours
  2. Keep your pet restrained/confined
  3. If possible, create a safe room where she can relax and hide
  4. Reassure your pet when she is unsettled
  5. Have your pet get used to any costume before Halloween (if she shows any resistance, don't use it this year!)
  6. Double-check her tags
  7. KEEP CANDY AWAY & HIDE THE CHOCOLATE
  8. Protect your pet from candles and pumpkins
  9. Secure any cords or wiring for Halloween decorations
  10. Be prepared for anything
  11. Have fun (but think of your pet's safety first!)
