ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2015:
COME AND SEE

Sunday, June 7 through Wednesday, June 10 more than 1,000 United Methodists from throughout Louisiana will gather in the Gold Dome at Centenary College in Shreveport for their annual gathering. The scriptural focus for AC2015: Come and See is John 1:39-51, where Jesus invites some of His disciples to believe in Him-and to "come and see."

Local churches are asked to join in celebrating United Methodist Committee on Relief's 75th anniversary by filling a truck with health and school kits!  (Please see the article in this newsletter about our Health Kit Collection). At Annual Conference  an UMCOR truck will be on site to collect the kits and transport them to UMCOR Sager Brown in Baldwin, La. for verification, packing and distribution.

Also, wouldn't it be awesome if the annual conference could raise at least $75,000 for UMCOR as the special offering on Sunday night of conference?   If you would like to contribute to this special offering being collected for UMCOR, please make your check out to UUMC and note in the memo section "UMCOR 75th Anniversary Offering". Please get this offering to the church office by the end of May so that our ministers can take one check to the LA Annual Conference for the total amount donated. Thank you for your generous giving!
